Southern Light Films came into frame in 1984 (previously ANZ Films), created by one of Australia and New Zealand’s most reputable Producers, Timothy White. Founded on a half-century of experience across the film and television industries, Southern Light is committed to producing stories that are compelling, creatively bold and accessible for worldwide audiences.
About Tim
Timothy is a veteran of the Australian and New Zealand film and television industries with an extensive list of credits to his name. He has also long been a champion of first-time filmmakers.

In 2019 he produced the sci-fi thriller I AM MOTHER (Sundance), with Hilary Swank and Rose Byrne. In 2020; THE FURNACE (Venice) and FALLING FOR FIGARO, with Danielle Macdonald and Joanna Lumley; Gracie Otto’s SERIOUSLY RED (SXSW 2022) and Irish/NZ tv co-production, THE GONE. Recently, he has been in production on Andrew Niccol’s I, OBJECT, PIKE with Melanie Lynskey and THE GONE: Season 2.
